Audible is a premier digital service for listening to audiobooks, original audio shows, and podcasts.

However, today Audible functions as more than just a platform for accessing audio content. Listening often triggers imagination, allowing stories and scenes to unfold in the listener’s mind.


Because of this, the rebrand focuses on the idea that listening activates imagination. The new visual identity explores how audio can expand into narrative and imagery through the act of listening. The goal of the rebrand is to position Audible not only as a service for consuming audio content, but as a platform where stories are experienced through imagination.

The logo is inspired by the sound chamber used for narration. The structural rhythm of the chamber walls informed the shape of the symbol, while the form also suggests an opening book.

So the logo represents both the space where sound is produced and the moment when a story begins to unfold.

The UI elements extend the rebranding concept into the app experience. Inspired by the sound chamber structure and the opening book form, the iconography, buttons, and illustrations create a consistent visual system that supports a seamless journey from purchasing to listening.

The UX strategy connects the fragmented process of discovering, purchasing, downloading, and listening into one seamless journey. Instead of leaving the app to purchase through Amazon’s website, users can move naturally from choosing a story to entering the listening experience.
